“I could go straight home, or I could test drive cars!”
In the ongoing saga of “shopping for next year”, I think I might check out an Outback tomorrow. I could still be home by six even with this detour.

My problem if I do go with the Outback is choosing this or the green.

I feel like the green is going to be by far the most common color. I’m already kinda bored with it.

Probably, but I love it.

Which is really the most important part of picking out a car.

you guys need to buy a bunch of those new 2020 Outbacks and Ascents with the turbo 2.4 so it will be all sorted when I get a new STI with it a few years from now

From what I was told Subaru dealers are cocky. Want to test drive? Put a deposit down first.

Which will absolutely inform my purchasing choice.

Green if Onyx XT, blue for any other trim

I’ve had good luck getting test drives by
telling the salesperson I’m not buying
yet
but will give them like $20 for their time. Since a lot of them work on commission they aren’t always willing to accommodate if they’re not going to make a sale, offering them a few bucks so they don’t feel like the time spent with you is a waste can change things. It also helps foster trust, since you’re both being straightforward with them about not buying
and showing you value their time and help.
